Beauty of Joseon Ginseng & Retinal Eye Serum

A lightweight eye serum made for the thin, delicate skin around the eyes. It pairs 10% ginseng root extract with 2% liposome-encapsulated retinal to soften the look of fine lines and keep the area feeling comfortable and well hydrated. The texture is silky and absorbs quickly, so it sits well under makeup or a morning moisturiser.

What's inside

The formula is built around two hero ingredients and rounded out with familiar K-beauty staples:

Ginseng root extract (10%) — naturally rich in saponins, it helps draw moisture into the skin and hold it there, so the eye area looks fresher and more supple. Ginseng has a long history in Korean skincare, where it was prized as a treasured botanical.
Liposome retinal (2%) — retinal is a form of vitamin A. Here it's wrapped in liposomes together with natural lipids and oils, which helps keep it stable and lets it settle gently into the skin. It's used to help the skin around the eyes look smoother and more even.
Supporting ingredients — glycerin and niacinamide for a hydrated, more radiant appearance, plus cocoa butter, macadamia-derived ceramides and cholesterol to help the skin feel soft and cushioned.

Who is it for?

It suits anyone who wants to care for the eye area — both women and men — and is a good first step if you're new to vitamin A in your routine and prefer a gentle, encapsulated format. As with any retinal product, introduce it gradually.

How do you use it?

Use it in the evening. After cleansing and toning, dab a small amount around the orbital bone with your ring finger and pat gently until absorbed, then follow with your moisturiser. Start with two or three nights a week and build up as your skin gets used to it. Because vitamin A can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, always apply sunscreen during the day.

How to use

Use in the evening after washing and toning the skin of the face. It can be applied only to the area around the eyes or to the entire face. It is recommended that all products that contain retinoids be introduced gradually - initially apply every third night, and after a few weeks gradually reach the use of the serum every night.

This is the best eye cream i have used. Helps with dark under eye and crows feet. One tube goes a long way and this is my second one. I will buy it again, but this can’t be used during pregnancy and it contains retinal.

A MIRACLE FOR DRY EYES

I was hesitant to buy this because I struggle with super dry skin around my eyes. I thought a retinal would make it 10x worse. But no, it's insanely hydrating. The pictures are 2 week apart. My eyes are so hydrated that the wrinkles are less apparent. The sun spots on my nose are beginning to fade slightly as well (I intentionally apply it to my nose). I will update my review once I've used it for several months.
