The 107 SOSEO VINBIOME Retinal Serum pairs a 0.1% dose of liposome-encapsulated retinal with 107's fermented VinBiome™ complex. It's the line's most concentrated retinal formula, built so the active stays stable and the texture stays gentle enough for daily use, even on sensitive skin.

Retinal (retinaldehyde) sits one step closer to retinoic acid than retinol, which is why it's often described as fast-acting. Here it's encapsulated in liposomes to limit oxidation from light and heat, kept at a neutral pH of 5–7, and housed in a dark, airless pump to protect the formula. 0.1% is widely regarded as a well-balanced everyday concentration.

How to use

Use in the evening after cleansing and toning. Dispense a small amount and smooth over the face, avoiding the immediate eye area. Follow with moisturiser. When using a retinal at night, apply broad-spectrum sunscreen the next morning. If you're new to retinoids, start a few nights a week and build up as your skin gets used to it.

What the brand's testing showed

In an independent clinical study of 22 women aged 38–62 after two weeks of daily use, 107 reported: the appearance of wrinkles decreased by 6.25%, elasticity improved by 4.68%, the appearance of pores reduced by 8.17%, and skin moisture content increased by 66.42%. In a separate Dermatest GmbH study with 30 subjects aged 24–67, the product showed a low potential for irritation when used as directed.
